About the UN Women Programme Support Internships
The UN Women EntreprenHER Programme aims to support women-owned micro-enterprises. This internship offers practical experience in programme coordination, administration, event logistics, communications, data management, and stakeholder engagement. Interns will work closely with municipal officials, trainers, entrepreneurs, and community members. The programme is funded by the De Beers Group and has been running since 2018.
The EntreprenHER Programme supports women entrepreneurs through various interventions. These include business development training, digital literacy, mentorship, market access support, and small grants. The current phase aims to assist 1,500 low-income women entrepreneurs across Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet specific educational and eligibility criteria. These include:
- Currently enrolled in or have recently completed university or TVET studies in fields such as Entrepreneurship, Business Studies, Development Studies, Social Studies, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
- Must be enrolled in a postgraduate programme, the final academic year of a first university degree, or have graduated within the last two years.
- Alternatively, be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship that is part of a degree program.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Strong ability in Sepedi and/or Xivhenda.
