Minimum Qualification

To be considered for this internship, applicants must possess a BSc Honours degree. The degree should focus on Radiochemistry or Nuclear Physics.

Knowledge and Technical Requirements

Applicants should have knowledge of how radiation detection instruments operate. Familiarity with gamma-ray spectrometry, liquid scintillation analysis, or alpha-spectrometry will be advantageous. A basic understanding of radioactive decay processes, how radiation interacts with matter, and radiation protection is also expected.

Knowledge of radiochemical separation techniques is a plus. Candidates should also have basic MS Office skills, mathematical and statistical knowledge, and good communication and report-writing abilities. Understanding of quality systems and Good Laboratory Practices will be beneficial.
