What the Internship Offers

Depending on academic status, interns will receive a monthly stipend. Those who have completed a qualification with at least 360 credits will receive R10,109.86 per month. Students currently enrolled will receive R4,951.88 per month. This remuneration is a basic salary with no additional benefits.

Programme Duration and Location

The internship programme will run for a period not exceeding 18 months. It is based at 66 Jorissen Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
  • A relevant university or post-school qualification.
  • An enrolment confirmation letter from their institution, if currently enrolled.
  • Must be a resident within the City of Johannesburg.
  • Must not have previously participated in a relevant internship programme.

Only City of Johannesburg residents will be considered for this opportunity.

Accepted Qualifications

The following qualifications are accepted for this internship:

  • BCom in Accounting
  • National Diploma in Accounting
  • Internal Audit qualification
  • Local Government Finance qualification
  • Public Finance qualification
  • N6 Financial Management

Qualifications should be at NQF Level 5 (N6), NQF Level 6 (National Diploma), or NQF Level 7 (Degree).
