Programme Duration and Location

This internship programme runs for a full 12 months, starting on 02 January 2027. The internship will be based at the Tshwane University of Technology’s Pretoria West Campus in Gauteng, South Africa. Interns will be expected to be present at the campus and potentially at the designated children’s home for their duties.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the TUT Counselling Psychology Internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be currently registered as a Master of Arts student in Counselling Psychology.
• Be studying through a recognised university.
• Provide a reference letter from a current M1 lecturer or supervisor.
• Be available to commence the internship on 02 January 2027.
• Submit all required certified academic and personal documents.

Applicants who are not registered for an MA in Counselling Psychology will not meet the minimum requirements for this internship.
