The June 2026 Visa Bulletin brings big changes for many immigrants waiting for green cards. After holding steady in May, dates for some employment-based categories from India moved back, while family-sponsored ones jumped ahead. This update from the State Department affects Final Action Dates and Filing Dates across employment, family, and Diversity Visa categories. If your priority date falls in these shifts, check your eligibility right away.

Employment-Based Final Action Dates

India saw the main setbacks in employment-based Final Action Dates. EB-1 India went back from April 1, 2023, to December 15, 2022, a drop of 107 days. EB-2 India retrogressed even more, from July 15, 2014, to September 1, 2013, losing 318 days or about 10.5 months. Other areas held steady or moved forward a bit.

EB-3 China advanced 47 days to August 1, 2021. EB-3 India and Other Workers India each gained 30 days to December 15, 2013. Other Workers China moved up 59 days to April 1, 2019. Categories like EB-2 for Rest of World, Mexico, and Philippines stayed Current. All EB-5 set-aside categories remained Current too.

New warnings appeared for EB-2 China, EB-3 Philippines, and EB-5 Unreserved India. These may retrogress soon.

Family-Sponsored Final Action Dates

Family categories showed strong progress. F2A advanced five months across most regions, from August 1, 2024, to January 1, 2025, for all except Mexico which went to January 1, 2024. F2B for Rest of World, China, and India moved forward 123 days to September 22, 2017. F1 Mexico gained 85 days to November 8, 2007, and F4 for Rest of World and China advanced 54 days to November 8, 2008.

Other family dates held steady.

Category Country May 2026 June 2026 Change
F1 Mexico Aug 15, 2007 Nov 8, 2007 +85 days
F2A All Other/CN/IN/PH Aug 1, 2024 Jan 1, 2025 +153 days
Mexico Aug 1, 2023 Jan 1, 2024 +153 days

F4 All Other/China Sep 15, 2008 Nov 8, 2008 +54 days

Family-Sponsored Dates for Filing

Filing Dates moved less. F2B for Rest of World, China, and India advanced 80 days to March 22, 2018. F4 for Rest of World and China gained 112 days to December 22, 2009. F2A stayed Current.

Diversity Visa DV-2026

Cut-offs barely changed. Nepal in Asia rose from 10,000 to 11,000. The bulletin previews bigger jumps for July, like Algeria to 40,000 and Europe to 23,000.

Region May 2026 June 2026 Change
Africa 55,000 55,000 0
Asia (Nepal except) 35,000 35,000 0
– Nepal 10,000 11,000 +1,000
Europe 20,000 20,000 0

Key Changes and Action Steps

Retrogressions hit EB-1 and EB-2 India Final Action Dates hardest. Forward moves helped F2A, F2B, and some EB-3/Other Workers. Filing Dates froze for employment categories.

If your priority date is between December 15, 2022, and April 1, 2023, for EB-1 India, or September 1, 2013, and July 15, 2014, for EB-2 India, you may no longer qualify for visas this month. EB-3 India now leads EB-2, so consider downgrades with an attorney. New eligibility opened for EB-3 China before August 1, 2021, and F2A before January 1, 2025. File promptly if you qualify.

India and China Highlights

India: EB-1 and EB-2 Final Action back, EB-3 and Other Workers up 30 days. China: EB-3 up 47 days, Other Workers up 59 days, others flat.

Conclusion

The June 2026 Visa Bulletin mixes setbacks for Indian employment categories with gains in family and some other employment areas. Retrogressions for EB-1 and EB-2 India signal high demand, while advances in F2A and F2B offer hope for family petitioners. Track your priority date monthly on official sites, and consult an immigration expert for next steps. These shifts show the need to stay informed as the fiscal year progresses.
