About the Aspen Policy Academy AI Civic Action Accelerator

The AI Civic Action Accelerator is a free, part-time program consisting of six sessions. Its main goal is to help participants refine and advance policy solutions that address civic artificial intelligence (AI) challenges. The program supports early-stage projects focused on strengthening the connection between government, communities, and AI.

Participants will work on practical, community-driven ideas. These ideas should help governments tackle AI-related issues in society or use AI more effectively. Examples include improving public participation through AI, enhancing online safety for youth, or creating more transparent and equitable ways for governments and AI to work together. The program also considers new approaches to managing job automation caused by AI.

The curriculum uses the Policy Academy’s proven framework for achieving policy impact. Participants will workshop their ideas with peers and expert instructors.
