The Embassy of France in Uganda is offering Master’s scholarships for young Ugandan students. These scholarships aim to support students who have completed their Bachelor’s degree and wish to pursue further studies in France. The program covers a range of fields, providing a valuable opportunity for academic and professional growth.

Scholarship Details

The scholarship package is designed to ease the financial burden of studying abroad. It includes a round-trip international air ticket between Uganda and France. Full tuition fees are covered, along with exemptions for visa and CVEC (Contribution de la Vie Étudiante et de Campus) fees.

Recipients will also receive a monthly stipend to help with living expenses. Health insurance is provided, with the French government covering 70% of the cost and Campus France covering the remaining 30%. Additionally, scholarship holders get priority access to subsidized student housing. Assistance with administrative procedures throughout their stay in France is also part of the package. The program also offers opportunities to engage in cultural activities and networking events.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the Embassy of France in Uganda Master’s Scholarships, applicants must meet specific criteria. Firstly, they must be a citizen of Uganda. Secondly, they need to have already obtained a Bachelor’s degree in one of the specified fields before the application deadline.

A crucial requirement is that applicants must be admitted to a Master’s Degree program at a French university. This means candidates need to secure admission to a French institution before or during the scholarship application process.

Application Process

Prospective applicants must gather several documents to complete their application. These include a cover letter, a copy of their identity document, and a copy of their Bachelor’s degree certificate. Proof of application or admission from a recognized French public university is also required. This admission letter is essential for confirming the application.

Candidates are responsible for finding a suitable university in France and initiating the admission process independently. The scholarship selection process will require proof of admission. All required documents must be submitted as a single PDF file. The deadline for submission is June 11, 2026, at midnight.
