Areas of Training and Experience

During the 24-month internship, the successful candidate will gain exposure to various HR functions. The intern will also learn about the implementation of conditions of service and skills development initiatives within the organisation. Administrative Responsibilities

In addition to specific HR training, the intern will assist with general administrative duties within the Human Resources department. This involves tasks such as taking minutes during meetings, preparing reports, and responding to routine enquiries. Maintaining HR filing systems, compiling and distributing documents, and managing incoming and outgoing HR correspondence are also part of the role. The intern will also perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this internship, applicants must have completed Matric/Grade 12/N3/NTC Level 4. Additionally, a recognised three-year Bachelor’s Degree or a three-year National Diploma from an accredited tertiary institution in an appropriate Human Resources-related field is required. Suitable qualifications include degrees or diplomas in Labour Relations, Human Resource Management, Human Resources, Labour Law, or Business Administration with an HR focus.

Additional Requirements

Applicants should possess strong verbal and written communication skills and be computer literate, with familiarity in Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. A willingness to learn new software and travel locally within South Africa is also necessary. Candidates must be 35 years old or younger and must not have previously participated in an internship or worked in their field of study. A valid driver’s licence is preferred.
