What the Internships Offer

Programme Duration and Location
Both internship programmes are fixed-term contracts lasting for 24 months. The internships are based in Gauteng, South Africa, offering interns the chance to work within the heart of the province’s tourism sector. Specific work locations will be within GTA’s operational areas in Gauteng.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements for each internship:
For Creative Digital Design & Content Production (Reference Number: DCP/2026):
- A National Diploma or Degree in Digital Media, Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Digital Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Film and Television Production, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Knowledge of digital content creation, multimedia storytelling, and visual communication.
- Experience or proficiency with tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Audition, and Canva is advantageous.
For Multimedia Visual Content Creator (Reference Number: VCC/2026):
- A Diploma, National Diploma, Degree, or relevant qualification in Multimedia Production, Digital Media, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Basic experience in photography, videography, video editing, multimedia production, and digital storytelling.
- Understanding of camera operation, lighting, audio recording, and post-production processes.
- Strong computer skills, including Mac applications and Microsoft Office.
Competencies Required
Successful candidates should possess a range of skills and personal qualities:
- For Creative Digital Design & Content Production: Ability to assist with digital storytelling, social media content, campaign graphics, infographics, and promotional materials. Experience with video production, photography, and website content management is beneficial.
- For Multimedia Visual Content Creator: Interest in social media, digital marketing, and visual content creation. Knowledge of social media content planning and platform-specific requirements.
- General Competencies: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, is required for the Multimedia Visual Content Creator role. Applicants should demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt.
