About the Harpswell Leadership Resident Program

The Harpswell Leadership Resident Program offers women graduates a chance to gain hands-on experience in leadership development and social impact. Available Leadership Resident Opportunities

What the Learnership Offers

  • Living Expenses: Receive a monthly stipend to cover living costs in Phnom Penh. Full room and board, along with travel insurance, are provided.

Programme Duration and Location

The program is based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, at Harpswell’s leadership centers. The duration for Leadership Residents is flexible, ranging from four to eight months. This allows for a substantial period of immersion and contribution.

Minimum Requirements

To be eligible for the Harpswell Leadership Resident Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a woman.
  • Hold a university degree.
  • Have experience living and working across cultures, showing curiosity and respect for cultural differences.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and flexibility as a self-starter.
  • Possess excellent English language skills, both spoken and written.
  • Show a commitment to women’s empowerment and leadership development.
  • Be willing to work non-traditional hours, including weeknights and weekends.
  • Teaching experience is preferred but not required.
