Programme Duration and Location

The Presidential Digital Talent Programme requires participants to be ready for full-time deployment. The programme is designed to place interns across various government ministries, departments, and agencies (MCDAs) in all 47 counties of Kenya. The exact duration of the programme is not specified.

Minimum Requirements

To be eligible for the Presidential Digital Talent Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a Kenyan youth aged between 21 and 29 years.
  • Must be unemployed.
  • Must have graduated and attained First Class or Second Class Honours – Upper Division (or equivalent) from a recognized institution within the last two years (from January 2024).
  • Graduates awaiting graduation until December 2026 must provide a recommendation letter from their university. This letter should be signed and stamped by the university, indicating that First or Upper Second-Class Honours will be awarded.
  • Must have a background in BSc. ICT or Engineering (Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunication, Systems/Software, Security).
  • Must demonstrate technical competencies in core areas relevant to their chosen specialization before the interview.
  • Must not have previously participated in a Government of Kenya internship program.

Females, persons with disabilities, and graduates from Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) regions are strongly encouraged to apply.
