About the WomenLift Health Nigeria Leadership Journey
The WomenLift Health Nigeria Leadership Journey is a comprehensive 12-month program aimed at empowering women leaders in the health sector. It provides a supportive environment for participants to explore their leadership potential through vulnerability and reflection. This initiative is delivered in partnership with WILAN Global. It offers contextualized tools and frameworks to help women leaders navigate the individual, institutional, and sector-specific challenges they face. Participants will engage in two in-person learning residencies, virtual group mentoring, one-on-one coaching sessions, and will work on a self-directed Health Leadership Project.

Programme Duration and Location
The WomenLift Health Nigeria Leadership Journey 2027 will run for 12 months, from August 10, 2026, to October 31, 2026. The program includes two mandatory in-person residencies. The Immersion residency is scheduled for July 28-30, 2027, with travel days on July 27 and July 31, 2027. The Lift-Off residency will take place from April 26-27, 2028, with travel days on April 25 and April 28, 2028. The specific locations for these residencies will be communicated to selected participants closer to the event dates. Participants must reside and work within Nigeria and be available to participate in virtual sessions within the WAT (+/-1 hour) time zone.
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for the WomenLift Health Nigeria Leadership Journey 2027, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Identify as a woman.
- Be a citizen who resides and works within Nigeria.
- Demonstrate fluency and confidence in written and verbal English communication.
- Live within the WAT (+/-1 hour) time zone for at least 75% of the program duration.
- Be a mid-career leader with 10 to 25 years of work experience in Health++. Health++ includes fields such as climate change, food systems, agriculture, water and sanitation, education, economic policy, gender equity, and technology.
