What the Bursary Offers

Successful applicants will receive a fully-funded place to attend the One Young World Summit in Cape Town, South Africa, from November 3 to 6, 2026. This includes:

  • Return travel to Cape Town.
  • Hotel accommodation in a private room from November 2 to 7, 2026.
  • All meals covered during the conference days.
  • Lifelong membership in the One Young World Ambassador Community, a global network of over 20,000 members in more than 190 countries.
  • Participation in the One Young World Action Accelerator.
  • Access to networking and mentorship opportunities with senior figures in the South African start-up ecosystem.

Programme Duration and Location

The bursary covers attendance at the One Young World Summit, which takes place in Cape Town, South Africa, from November 3 to 6, 2026. Accommodation is provided from November 2 to November 7, 2026.

Minimum Requirements

To be eligible for this bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be between 18 and 30 years of age.
  • Be a national of and resident in South Africa.
  • Be leading a business or enterprise with the potential for significant job creation.
  • Hold direct decision-making authority within their organization or company.
  • Be available to participate in the One Young World Summit from November 3 to 6, 2026.

Note: While the age range is 18-30, One Young World may consider candidates older than 30 if they demonstrate significant impact and initiative. Applicants must be 18 or older by November 3, 2026.
